If you have found this page - Welcome!!
You have managed to find the website of the St
Andrew's Church Choir and Orchestra, Uxbridge.
We are an
amateur Church Choir and Orchestra. We sing and make
music primarily in
the Parish Church of St Andrew, which is part of
the Uxbridge Team Ministry in the Diocese of London.
We also sing and
make music from time to time in our sister church, St Margaret's, Uxbridge and
in the
wider Parish as a whole.
Our purpose is to sing and play music for the
greater glory of God - and because it is fun too!
Membership of the Choir is open to anyone who wants to sing and worship God.
Membership of the orchestra is open whoever has an instrument to play and
wants to play it in church.
If you would like to join us please make a note of our practice times which can be found here.
We like to sing and play in any style of music for the
worship of God.
Tallis,
Byrd and Palestina, through Stainer and
Stanford, to Rutter ,
Redman, Taize and Kendrick!
There are no bells, whistles,
colours, images, fancy buttons, style lists or java script on this website.
(alright - I played with the
colours and there are a couple of pictures of the organ!!).
There are just a couple of links to notices and music
lists which are updated regularly.
